About SNAC
SNAC is an opportunity for youth, 7th through 12th grade, to come together to praise the Lord and share about how the Lord is working in their lives. SNAC originated at Penn State University, University Park and is based on Franciscan University’s Festival of Praise. SNAC opens with praise and worship songs, followed by exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, with more opportunity for singing and silence. After this there is a time for the youth to share about how the Lord is working in their lives. There are the ABCs of faith sharing. A is for authentic, B is for brief and C is for Christ centered. There is no pressure for the youth to share but this allows for the youth to see in a tangible way that they are not alone in their faith. When the youth are finished sharing their faith, we sing a few more songs and close with Benediction. Finally, we move from the Church to the Community Center for a half hour of fellowship.
