Our Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
So many wonderful things have happened in the last seven and a half years in our parish. All the events and ministries that have been started and have continued to flourish are true blessings and are great testimonies to our “coming together” as a serious example of the words of Luke in Acts 2:42, “They devoted themselves to the teaching of the apostles and to the communal life, to the breaking of the bread and to the prayers.”
As our sesquicentennial looms ever closer we cannot become lax in our efforts to remain a family to each other, an example to all in our diocese, and a Catholic authority in our community. To that continuation, Pastoral Council has been charged with looking at the direction of our faith community and to setting future goals. You, our brothers and sisters, are a fundamental ingredient of those goals and the posture we assume in the days ahead.
Above link is one survey to help us determine where we stand now and what we might do to improve in the future. Please take a moment to include these questions in your daily prayer time; bring them before Our Lord. Then, lovingly and honestly, fill in the survey and return it to the office, place it in the collection basket, drop it in the mail, or give it to one of the members of Parish Council listed below. Also, this survey will be available on-line on our parish website (www.stjoesbol.org), on the table in the back of the church, and in the parish office, especially for those who might need another copy for a spouse or family member. We ask that you return it to us by February 24, 2010.
If you were a parishioner and for some reason left the parish, please show us the courtesy of letting us know of your leaving, and share with us the reason(s) you left.
God has blessed us so abundantly, wouldn’t you agree? Let us remain thankful to Him by continuing to participate in His Mystical Body – by striving to do our very best to minister to those in need, to ensure that we remain a Beacon on the Hill...a light for all to see.
May God continue to bless us all.
Your Parish Council,
Father Larry Lillian
Tonelli
Deacon Andrew Froberg Hannah Tatar Ed Root
